I use a 1/4 inch flat washer.  Lay  the body frame on the back – align perfectly and then mark using the washer as your guide.  You will have about 1/8 inch overhang.

Constructing the Body Part One

Next, lay the body frame on the soundboard/fretboard.  Using the 1/4 flat washer, mark the outline.  IMPORTANT: make sure the Peghead brace is aligned with the fretboard and the back brace is centered on the fret board.

Trim the soundboard/fretboard and back on the line you have drawn.  We are ready to glue the body together.  There will be an 1/8 inch or so overhang.  That is good, we will trim that off after the glue dries.
