Have you completed a Jenny Wiley Dulcimer Kit? Would you like to place a picture and a few words of encouragement for others on this web site? |

Just completed the “scratch” kit. What a joy to work with quality wood components. Upon opening the kit I found all parts clearly marked for quick inventory. I had previously printed the instructions from Jeff’s web site. Assembly of the dulcimer was a work of pleasure. I did deviate from the instructions “slightly” - more to accommodate my equipment in my wood shop. I chose to use a water based stain on the body of my dulcimer. I was looking for a light honey color. Mini-Wax light oak did the job. To complete the finish I applied several light coats of polyurethane in “satin”. The results are very much like an heirloom piece. Several times during construction I e-mailed Jeff with a question. In each case I received a quick reply.
The bottom line: I encourage anyone to purchase and build this kit. You will have fun and end up with a family heirloom that will be passed down through the years. E-Mail: Norm Anderson; Hemet, California
